Traveling solo and feeling truly at home is not always easy, but Guesthouse Savitri Bhawan made it happen from the very first day. The place is spotlessly clean, and I especially loved the fresh, pleasant smell throughout the guesthouse — it really shows how much care goes into it. The room is spacious, very comfortable, and full of natural light, with a balcony that’s perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. The en-suite bathroom, with hot water that never fails, is a big plus and something I truly appreciated. The guesthouse is located in a quiet and silent area, ideal for rest, yet close to everything you need (Good food, shops...), including excellent yoga classes. A special mention to Vinayak, who runs the guesthouse — kind, attentive, and always willing to help and make sure you feel well. I wholeheartedly recommend this place. I am a long stay guest at Savitri Bhawan this year, and have created a studio apartment here so I can study and practice yoga in Rishikesh. Rooms are very comfortable, and priced according to size and season, but I am happy with my 6-month rent agreement. The family are super nice, charming, and helpful, and staying here has the 'personal touch'. All rooms come with hot water showers, and many have private kitchens. The WiFi here is great, with boosters on all floors. The neighbourhood is very peaceful, with little scooter traffic and barking dogs. However, we have great cafes / restaurants around, including Cafe Omkar and Cafe Rama to name two. I'd say the cooking here is more 'homestyle' and much tastier than most restaurants. I chose my excellent room because of the price, quality, and location as I study and practice yoga at Swasti Yogashala and Ashish Yoga and Savitri Bhawan is nestled between these two highly regarded shalas. ~ William B

A very peaceful and pleasant place to stay. The guest house is clean, quiet, and comfortable, which made my stay very relaxing. The room was simple but well maintained, with reliable hot water and good Wi-Fi. I especially liked the calm surroundings and the location — close enough to shops and food options, yet away from traffic noise. The walk to the Ganges is easy and enjoyable. The host is kind, helpful, and respectful of privacy. A great place for long stays, solo travelers, and anyone looking for a calm environment. ~ Guddi D

Savitri Bhavan Guest house has not only been a wonderful guest house, it has become our beloved home for 1month in Rishikesh. The family is just amazing we thank you so much for your generosity and hospitality! We will come back soon. Thank you for this pleasurable, comfortable stay in the Savitri guest house. I felt at home while staying here. Everything is maintained very wel, very clean room and bedsheets. This place was a very special find during our stay in Rishikesh. You can see the love and pride the family have for their property in all of the small details in the rooms and interactions with them. The place is very clean and in an excellent location with great yoga schools and food nearby. Will be heading back here when visiting again in the future. ~ Ben R
